As you know, we are working very hard to perform a Christmas play. We are learning its play script and carols. YOU just have to learn and sing two of the four carols of the play. Here they are:
We have learnt ordinal numbers last week. We don´t have to study their written form as we don´t write them very often. However, children could be asked for any date in the Trinity examination. I just want you to study how to say ordinal numbers from 1st to 31st. Some examples of possible questions are the following: What is the date today? What was the date yesterday? What is the date tomorrow? When is your birthday? When is your mother's birthday? When do you celebrate Halloween? When do you celebrate Christmas?
I am so pleased with my children because we travelled to Venus last week. It's our third stop and we had great fun!! Congratulations everyone!! Your are great astronauts. I am sure we will discover the whole solar system very soon. Let's get more marbles and fill our petrol tank. The next stop will be MARS! Mr. Alien will help us explore this planet.
Year 2A and Year 2B have filled up their marble tanks last week. We got the petrol we needed to travel from the Moon to Mercury. Well done everyone! Our next stop will be VENUS! CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR GREAT WORK AND EFFORT! KEEP WORKING HARD!
Wilf was cross because nobody wanted to play. He went to the park and played on his own. Wilf played on a rocket. "I am a spaceman" he said. Wilf played on the see-saw. "I am a cowboy" he said. Wilf climbed up a wall. "I am a spiderman" he said. Wilf bought an ice-cream. He fell over Floppy and ... What do you think happened? Yes, you are right! Wilf dropped his ice-cream! Whoops!!
Mr Alien arrived in the Year 2 classes last week. He is going to stay with us until summer. He doesn't like being alone in our school at the weekends so, taking turns, one child is going to take him home every Friday. When he goes to your house you have to take him everywhere you go. If you go to the cinema, you have to take him there. If you go to your grandparents' house, you have to take him there. If you go to the toilet, you have to take him there too. You will have to help Mr. Alien write about the weekend you spend togetherin his diary. Don´t forget to draw a beautiful picture or glue a nice photograph on your page. This is what I wrote in his diary after he stayed in my house last weekend: On Friday, Mr. Alien and I went to the cinema. We watched "Monsters University". We loved it. On Saturday, my cousins came to my house. We played together. We ate pizza. Mr Alien was very nice with my family. Mr. Alien slept in my bed. On Sunday, Mr. Alien and I did my homework. He helped me. We had great fun. I will miss him!
